“We are continually faced by great opportunities brilliantly disguised as unsolvable problems.” -Lee Iococca
The world is full of unhappy people. At the library yesterday an older woman came in and she looked mad before she even got to the computer bank. There were four teenage boys lined up in a row at the computers all smiling and having fun (while they worked) and she came up trying to intimidate them, as if she had stolen her personal computer. The librarian tried to interject that they all had library cards and could use the computer. The woman tried to create a ruckus because she hadn’t gotten exactly what she wanted when she wanted it.
My daughter got an anonymous note on the front door of her salon in a nearby town, basically telling her to get out of town. Her heart was broken because she’s trying really hard to build a happy hair boutique that will serve the people.
I call these type of people the ‘littles’ of the world, because they do everything they can to belittle others, to spread their unhappiness all around. It doesn’t take much either to make a good day go to a bad day in an instant.
It’s all in the power of the mind. We get to decide who will influence our lives. My suggestion…stay away from the naysayers, the whiners and the belittlers. They’re toxic.
