The 2nd of 5 detours in the life of every overwhelmed woman is…
Living in Control Central
In Control Central, we try or think we can control everything and everybody. My 14-year old son went to spend the night with a friend a few years back. He hadn’t eaten dinner. On the ride over, I must’ve asked him 6 times if he thought they were going to eat dinner. By the time we arrived at his friends house, he and the entire family was exhausted BY ME. If he’s hungry, he’ll eat.
Why can’t I get that?
Giving up control doesn’t mean you don’t care. Giving up control doesn’t mean you’re not in charge. It simply means that you let others take responsibility for themselves.
Lighten up. Don’t take life so seriously.
